ABOUT

STEPHANIE HILLS INTERIORS

From an early age, Stephanie was drawn to the emotional impact of space—rearranging rooms, curating objects, and experimenting with color, texture, and form. That curiosity later found structure through an early exploration of how color affects mood, setting the foundation for a lifelong interest in how environments shape experience.

Over time, this instinct evolved into a natural design practice rooted in seeing potential—recognizing not only what a space is, but what it could become. That perspective now informs her work as an interior designer, guiding projects that prioritize meaning, personality, and thoughtful transformation.

Stephanie’s design approach is grounded in color, balance, and self-expression. She creates custom interiors that blend retro sophistication, global influence, and modern sensibility, resulting in spaces that feel layered, intentional, and deeply personal without being overworked. Her work favors curation over decoration, allowing rooms to feel collected rather than constructed.

A defining aspect of her practice is a commitment to adaptive reuse—repurposing heirlooms and meaningful objects so they continue to live on in contemporary spaces. Rather than viewing these pieces as remnants of the past, she treats them as anchors of memory and identity.

“Décor should be both meaningful and practical—never just decorative clutter. Every heirloom carries history, and every space deserves intention.”

Her work is informed by a background in psychology, art curation, and the hospitality industry, bringing together emotional intelligence, visual storytelling, and a strong understanding of flow, function, and guest experience. Experience in home organization further supports a process that is clear, efficient, and thoughtfully managed from start to finish.

Stephanie’s vision is to create spaces—whether intimate or expansive—that inspire clients and authentically reflect who they truly are. The result is interiors designed not simply to be admired, but to be lived in: personal, enduring, and grounded in meaning.

ABOUT

STEPHANIE

From a young age, Stephanie spent countless hours in her bedroom rearranging furniture, curating décor from floor to ceiling, and crafting handmade room dividers and wall coverings from found materials. At just eleven years old, she was famously grounded for attempting to remove her own wallpaper—an early and telling testament to her creative determination. Her fascination with how environments shape emotion was further affirmed when she unexpectedly took the Grand Prize at a science fair for her project, How Color Affects Mood.

That same instinct followed her into adulthood. Before long, designing and styling her rented offices into bold, maximalist spaces became her true focus—far eclipsing the work she was meant to be doing in them. Destiny? Perhaps. What was clear even then was her ability to see spaces not only for what they were, but for what they could become—an instinct that has since guided countless personal projects and now fuels her work as an interior designer.

Stephanie’s design philosophy is rooted in color, balance, and self-expression. She specializes in custom interiors that blend retro sophistication, global influence, and modern sensibility, crafting layered environments that feel both intentional and deeply personal. Her work is expressive yet disciplined, resulting in spaces that feel curated rather than decorated.

A defining element of Stephanie’s approach is her passion for repurposing and upcycling heirlooms, transforming them into functional, cherished pieces that integrate seamlessly into contemporary spaces.

“I believe décor should be both meaningful and practical—never decorative clutter. Every heirloom is an adaptive reuse project, carrying history forward with purpose and beauty.”

Stephanie has honed her craft through hands-on experience, designing interiors that authentically reflect the identities of the people who inhabit them. Her background in psychology and art curation informs her ability to create emotionally resonant spaces. Years in the hospitality industry bring a refined understanding of flow, function, and guest experience, while her experience as a home organization specialist adds clarity, efficiency, and thoughtful project management to every engagement.

“While my path into design was unconventional, my hands-on approach has given me the privilege of transforming spaces with intention, significance, and creativity for my clients.”

Stephanie’s vision is to create spaces—whether intimate or expansive—that inspire her clients and authentically reflect who they truly are. The result is interiors that feel layered, personal, and enduring—spaces designed not just to be seen, but to be lived in.
